About Us
Msano’s Foundation (NPO 290-250) started as an informal community and church-based stokvel group in the rural area of Taylor Halt. The group identified and assisted poor and child-headed families with food and other supplies.
In 2022, the organisation was officially founded by Smukelo Sithole and was officially registered with the Department of Social Development in 2023 to become an official and legally recognised non-profit organisation. The organisation is sustained by donations from the members through monthly contributions. The Foundation plans to source funding, services, and support from individuals, companies, governments, and other institutions to address the challenges faced by families and communities who lack access to water and sanitary pads.
Additionally, the Foundation aims to revive sports and cultural initiatives in rural schools, raise awareness and assist the physically disabled in rural areas, and conduct awareness campaigns about servitude encroachment in townships and rural areas.
